**~About the Program~**
Ladies from one particular infertility message board and website decided to generously offer their unused fertility meds to those in need. Not just to anyone in need, but particularly those that have provided support on the message board to others during their fertility treatments, those whose doctors had prescribed the same medication, and most importantly those who have to pay completely out of pocket for both their fertility treatments as well as medication. So after a need was discovered, one generous lady (my predecessor) decided to take it upon herself to coordinate the "matches" between those in need and those with unused fertility medication. And so the OOP Meds Program was born.
**~About the Coordinator~**
My husband and I are an extremely happily married couple of five years who would love nothing more than a chance to have a family. From the time we met in the fall of 2000 we have been inseparable and knew that God had given us the opportunity to be with our soul mates. We began trying to conceive in the Spring of 2007. In 2008 we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We proceeded with 7 medicated cycles (5 with IUI) but none resulted in a pregnancy. We are also completely out of pocket and are now saving for IVF. Throughout this journey I have found comfort in the lovely ladies on the IF board and more support than I could have ever imagined. I have met some wonderful people who I have been friends with for a few years now... one of which was the previous coordinator for the OOP Meds Program. I cannot tell you how honored I was when she asked that I take over this program (Her 4th IVF cycle was successful and she is now expecting her first little bundle of joy!). As I continue with this program my ultimate goal is not to only match women who have a need with those that have so kindly offered to donate their extra meds but to also be sensitive to women and what they are going through. It will always be my goal to do everything I can to ensure a great experience for EVERYONE involved not only those receiving meds.

This program does not allow selling of pharmaceutical drugs. The medications are donated and shipped directly from the donor to the recipient and will never pass through the hands of the coordinator. The coordinator does not distribute pharmaceuticals or medications of any kind. The recipients and donors are responsible for the safe handling and correct mailing of the medications, the coordinator is not responsible for any medications that are mailed incorrectly. Further investigation and the risks involved in obtaining medications through the matches are solely the responsibility of the recipient.
